Gutted for Lewis, but i can't decide who I want to win the championship, I think Barrichello deserves it after all the years he spent playin' second fiddle to Schumi, but I'm English so I want Button to win it (I think)  :hmpf
I hope, I do not wait.

I think I want Button to win. He's come this far, it would be horrible for him to lose it now..which I think he will. :coffee

Another fine run from Kimi. He picks up about the most points of all drivers in the last 4 races. Red Bull is game over now. I hope Barrichello can still make things exciting until the end, while I do favour Jens for the title.

Fisico made nice improvements during the weekend. In Singapore he will get points for Ferrari.

...and get at last what he deserves! I've always liked him not only as a great driver but as one of the most amicable man in the GP!

He's too nice to clinch the title..and his complaining in the first half of the season wasn't very professional. He seems like a decent, fair guy though.

He always was and is a decent, fair and nice guy. I would applaud for Rubinho if he won the title....I keep my fingers crossed now!

It's mostly once in 2 weeks, with a few back-to-back races during the season (2 sundays in a row).

Good to see that Flavio bastard go. Good riddance I say. Hopefully the Renault time will just stick around. It would be a shame if they would pull out because of this.

Yep, now he can go and play full-time with his mafioso friend Berlusconi a.o. in his billionaire club on Sardegna getting fatter while that wife of him waits till he dies and inherit all his money.
I can't stand it when they write "he has a daughter with Heidi Klum", luckily that cutie has Seal as a father.....

Alonso's Ferrari move 'on'
Spaniard's switch set to be confirmed this weekend
[/size]

Fernando Alonso's much-rumoured move to Ferrari in 2010 appears set to be announced at the Japanese Grand Prix this weekend.

Speculation has been rife in the paddock that the Spaniard will replace Kimi Raikkonen next year, and Alonso implied an agreement was already in place following his podium finish in Singapore on Sunday.

"I don't think the podium changes the decision on who I drive for next season," he said after finishing third for his beleaguered Renault team.

"I have taken the decision already - you will know soon."

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has also been quoted as saying he would like to make a formal announcement as soon as possible.

However, any deal for Alonso will be subject to Raikkonen's release from the final year of his contract, which lawyers are currently working on.

"I think that as soon as we are ready we will let you know," Domenicali said. "We don't want to wait too long."

Massa back

Alonso is poised to team up with Felipe Massa in 2010 although Domenicali insists the Brazilian has not given up hope of returning this year despite suffering life-threatening injuries in the summer.

Massa has been out of action since being suffering skull fractures and a brain concussion during qualifying for June's Hungarian GP.

"He is doing every day a check with his doctor, but not an official medical check," Domenicali said.

Asked whether Massa could return before the end of the campaign, Domenicali added: "It is too early to say that. We need to see it step-by-step, and we don't have to anticipate anything.

"He will be back 100 percent but there is no need to anticipate anything if there is something that is not ready.

"I don't want to exclude anything, but we need to be cautious."

Renault's Fernando Alonso will replace Kimi Raikkonen at Ferrari next season.

Spain's Alonso, world champion in 2005 and 2006, has signed a three-year deal and will partner Felipe Massa next year.

"We are very pleased to welcome to our team a winning driver, who has demonstrated his extraordinary worth by already claiming two world titles in his career," Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali stated.

"Fernando has an exceptional personality and we will do everything to give him and Felipe a competitive car. We are certain these two drivers will form the best possible double-act for a team like ours.

"Having said that, we want to thank Kimi for what he has done with Ferrari."

"We have jointly decided to end my deal with Ferrari a year early," Raikkonen said ahead of Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix.

"I am really sorry to leave a team with whom I have spent three fantastic years full of victories.

"I managed to become 2007 world champion, an objective I had since the start of my career. I will always carry great memories with me."

Raikkonen won the 2007 title by a point before finishing a disappointing third last year.

He lies fifth this season after a poor year for defending champions Ferrari, who are clinging on to third in the constructors' standings with three races left.

Brazilian Massa has been out of action since fracturing his skull at July's Hungarian Grand Prix but has already started karting and is expected to be fit for the start of next season, if not before.

Italy's Giancarlo Fisichella, filling in for Massa this season, will be Ferrari's reserve driver next year.

Alonso, 28, has been linked with Ferrari for years and speculation of an announcement increased at last month's Italian GP when Ferrari unveiled a sponsorship deal with Spanish bank Santander.

Ferrari said he would become their second Spanish driver after Alfonso De Portago raced for the team in 1956 and 1957.

Current Ferrari test driver Marc Gene is also Spanish.

Alonso left Renault after his two world titles to join McLaren in 2007 but he accused them of favouring then rookie driver Lewis Hamilton, who won last year's title.

He returned to Renault after just one season away but the car has not been competitive for the past two years and he is now eighth in the driver standings, led by Brawn's Jenson Button.

A race-fixing scandal at last year's Singapore Grand Prix recently led to Renault receiving a suspended permanent ban while team manager Flavio Briatore was banned for life for his role in Nelson Piquet Jr's deliberate crash.

Alonso, who won that race, was cleared of any involvement.

Briatore, who brought Alonso into the sport, also acted as his manager but is now not allowed to have any dealings inside F1.

Where is Johan! when you need him?  :?:

Im delighted by this move. I cant wait to see Alonso behind the wheel of a Ferrai. Kimi did well at Ferrai and achieved his career goal but I think it was time for them to split.

This should really shake up the drivers market for next seaon. I would love to see Kimi go back to McClaren to see how he would do against Lewis, it would be a great battle. If Brawn continue to be as fast next year as they are this year and the they sign Rosberg to replace Rubens as is rumoured then next season could be great  :banana.

I would still like to see Kubica in a top team but he might have to make do with Renault.
