the boss MT-2?

Nope, Electro Harmonix

Please don't buy a Boss distortion pedal of any description, basically it's like having your shitty marshall distortion in a small box to add to your shitty marshall distortion in a bigger box

i'm actually really satisfied with my MT-2, it really gets me the sound that i want that my marshall amp doesn't give me

is that so? i've never read that anywhere.
though when i tried the zakk pedal, it wouldn't work with a distortion pedal on. you'd have to turn the distortion pedal off before using the way, otherwise it wouldn't work...
maybe thats what you mean?

then why it works when zakk uses it

you need to put it in this order   GuiTar  Wah  Distortion  amp

and it will work like a dream... that wah is perfect piece of gear
just like Dimebags Wah Pedal

and if you want overdrive then buy Dunlop MXR Wylde-OD or Boss SuperOverdrive
those are the best overdrive pedals in the world END OF FUCKING STORY

There is no best anything with gear, it's all kinda subjective and even if there was, it certainly wouldn't be mass produced cheap crud like that.

If I had to say, Robert Keeley modded TS-9s seem to be the hot thing in OD pedals right now.

Overdrive pedals work best with tube amps, I wouldn't get one if I were you... since you have an SS amp.

and wht amp do you have?

Marshal MG 15DFX

it has an distortion button on it but when i used the pedal it sounded so much better to me cause you can mess around with the pedal so much that it really does make a difference.

by the way i have a epi LP standard

Although I agree, there are a few really good boss needs.  most of them discontinued like the CS2 ? I think this is the compression sustain one but I have the cs3 (next model) -  David gilmour still uses the cs2

and the equalizer is ok.  and a few for just some nasty tricks.  Some pro's use the metal zone for color that I think works good. but the rest of the pedal's suck and are just tone suckers. oh and a couple digital delays are handy.

I like electro harmonix still but they are usually huge boxes -

I'm sorry but Boss SD-1 rocks.... you just cant deny that zakk has one of the greatest tones in the world and you need that pedal or Wylde-od to get that tone... therefor it cant suck... you just dont know how to use it.

At least they work for me perfectly...and that's enough for me..+ that pedal costs only 50€ so it's pretty awesome

Yeah, Boss do awesome compressors, delay pedals and chorus pedals, but I always think their distortion pedals are just ugly

Anyways, I want one of these...
