Friend of mine went to it, said it was amazing. Couple of people losing the run of themselves and calling it the best gig ever which seems a little much to me.

These people have clearly never attended a Phil Collins concert.
Fuck Cork and all Cork related things

They're both fuckin great albums. They aren't like old Floyd but they're still brilliant albums.

Roger Waters will probs be adding Aussie tour dates if ya hadn't already heard Abaraxas. Early 2012 is looking likely.

I just spent nearly $900 on two platinum tickets to the second Sydney performance

Pink Floyd. Probably the greatest band of all-time.

Guns N' Roses will always be in my heart as #1 because they were the first band I was really obsessed with, but musically Pink Floyd are fucking brilliant and these are the two bands I rate higher than anything there ever was, is and will be.

I got into Pink Floyd relatively late, a couple of years ago, but since then I discovered so much amazing material in their discography no other band could compete with that.

People always argue which is their best album and the mainstream usually says Dark Side Of The Moon. I would rate them something like this:

1# The Wall
2# Animals
3# Wish You Were Here, Dark Side Of The Moon
4# The Division Bell
5# The Final Cut
6# Saucerful Of Secrets, Meddle
7# The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
8# A Momentary Lapse Of Reason
9# Obscured By Clouds
10# Soundtrack From The Film More
11# Atom Heart Mother
12# Ummagumma

All of them are , with the last three being a little weaker but still all right.
The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think
Oh by the way, which one's Pink?

September 24th 2010 - Zagreb Arena (Zagreb, Croatia)

I think its too hard to say whats best...
I see them in groups or periods, like

Piper/Saucerful (early, formative)
Ummagumma/Atom Heart Mother (experimental)
the soundtracks/meddle (starting to really get there)
dark side/wish you were here (definitive group efforts)
animals/the wall/the final cut (Rogers albums)
momentary lapse/division bell (Dave at the helm)

I think you labeled the eras nicely. It's definitely hard to say which one is the best because the perception of a record can change from time to time.

It's safe to say it's one of the best discographies out there.

Well, I never would have guessed, but it looks like a "new" album is coming (although made from recordings done in 1994)...
