Everyone I have ever met, domestic or foreign, knows that phrase and guess what? Now you do too.

Sunny, I don't get how your logic works. I havent heard any American on here say "I'm better than you because I'm American" or even imply it.  YOU guys freaking bring up the American stuff as if its just deep rooted in you.

The worst.

"also feel silently smug and superior at the same time" this says a lot about you and what you're about.

Oh, and can anyone name a few GOOD Chinese made products?  I'm not talking about what they manufacture based on what foriegn business pays them. I'd like to see a list with things like...

Ford
Sony
Windows
Nike
Polo
Levis
Toyota
Nintendo
Any type of car...

So come on Chinese product backers.  Which Chinese company products do YOU guys support?
Getting back on topic and stuff.

what makes u think he only knows americans from here? and almost all of those up there are chinese manufactured as is pretty much everything else this thread is so pointless coz if u hate chinese products to fucking badly then stop using them and c what u have left. And sunny is English like me and said 50% of english people are idiots aswell so it wasnt a statement about america that hes made up, its something he finds to be true after talking to americans through various methods and talking to English people new york is sure as fuck not the world capital if there was one ide probably say it was London, Moscow or Washington (simply because russia and america have the world by the balls and because the time zones are centralised in london).
Apparently a new Amy Winehouse 'Greatest Hits' collection is coming out, but the tinfoil and spoons aren't included.

Love you how dug up someone elses shit instead of answering the fucking question.
This topic is about Chinese products being that they are now being given a global bad rep thanks to all of their screw ups.

China has been REALLY pushing that the "Made in China" stamp is good as gold though, so theres the argument.

So, does anyone want to stop playing lawyer and give it a stab?

Never heard that expression either.

50% of the Americans I have met have all been f*ckin idiots. 50% of English people I have met have all been f*ckin idiots. The difference is that the English idiots seem to recognise that they are in fact idiots, while the American idiots have a very arrogant swagger to them.

I went to an English University where a significant percentage of students are American. That says a lot about your so called system.

I don't like the way it always digresses into a slagging match between me and some American who thinks they are the mutts nuts. My weakness is that I like to take arrogant people down a couple of pegs, thus resulting in me having some dispute with someone who is arrogant, usually American, and usually the same 3 or 4 people.

So that's it. No more arguments from SunnyP. Every time something stupid is said I am going to let it pass but also feel silently smug and superior at the same time because that way surely everybody wins. Don't they?

Ok but that makes no sense (the part I highlighted) as more immigrants around the world in total use the US school system. The UK system is very good also, but brits also go to school in the USA and I can honestly say that EVERY boss in my company in Greece instead of studying in the UK which is closer, they studied in the USA instead and I have no doubt in my mind is why they are very successful people. So the 'so called' system is very good, even for Europeans.

You will that the phrase ended with the question tag "doesn't it?" suggesting it is a question albeit rhetorical rather than a statement.

Yeah the Euro goes a lot further in America than it does in the UK.

Ok so lets all boycott Chinese made goods. That will most probably be the clothes on your back, most of the components for the computer you are using.

yeah and most cars, most packaging, most paper, almost anything plastic, most instruments, most kitchen appliances, most electronics in general AND albums (the cases art work and disks tend to be made there) so no chinese democracy for chinese product boycotters

Yeah the Euro goes a lot further in America than it does in the UK.

So people go to school in the US now because of the Euro?   ok anyway the people I mentioned above were not in the EU yet so they were using drachma. And now I see US Universities, art schools, music schools all over Europe in which people pay in Euro.

but if your point was not saying people go to US because of the Euro. ok then i'm just talking. But I would think it would be much cheaper to get a BA, BS, Master locally.

Same in the US for the most part. All public schools are free. If you are broke, then College is free for residents for the most part. And then many states of different laws to help, like CAlifornia really helps people get an education for nothing for residents. Of course you have to do good in order to keep funds for school coming in.  Now I wish our healthcare system was so inviting, but that is another story.

really, from watching american movies i always thought it was just black kids forced to run around a track that got "freebies". then they get called uncle tom by the other black guys. then the neo nazi kid goes crazy and shoots up the place. then ice-cube does his martin luther/malcolm X bit. then the credits roll.

maybe i should broaden my horizons....
