just bought it today for £10, and am finding it a good read, though it annoyed me in the introduction when he slags off the new GN'R before the book has even started properly.

God the guy isnt even in chapter one and he goes off on them already. Fuck Mick Wall

I wish people would open their eyes and realize how sad the whole GN'R thing has become, although it's still nice to hear Nightrain every now and again performed by the original singer, but that's all really.

And it always baffles me how people hate Mick Wall and say he's been fucked in the ass by Axl when really, the lyrics to Get in the ring are just laughable. At least Wall doesn't take it seriously, unlike Axl.

I haven't bought it yet, but I will.

I've read it all, it's not a bad read.

It really shows what and how Axl survived in the UYI days. It's shocking how depressed he was.

Sure he goes off on one how he disproves of the new band but who cares? He's a journalist, they all think the same until people actally like them. Journalists are tools of the trends...fuck em imo.

I think it's probably the best account of Gn'R's story i've read yet. It's miles ahead of 'the band that time forgot' or the shitty biography of Slash (Both written by the same guy incidently). The bits about Axl and GN'R post-1994 are fascinating, especialy the argument which led to Axl sacking Matt.

Yeah  inoticed that, though i agree with his idea that Libertad kicks ass (honestly!), i did feel that he was exaggerating at times, seems to me that he still has a grudge against Axl and is expressing it by hugely endorsing GN'Rs main rivals in the music scene.

I`ve read it myself, and tought it was quite good actually.It gives me anyway a better picture and knowledge to it all. The first biography I`ve ever bought.

You have to interpret it in your own anyway, like all other things in life. Jouarnalism is journalism.

It`s obvious that Axl is a tender and sensitiv person.

On the other hand if Chinese Democracy don`t come out within early 2008, I can`t give him anymore credit, reagardless how talented ans special he is.

He will just end up like a tragic figure in the history. All that talent wasted. It seems to me that he suffers with performance-anxiety.

Anyway I will always love him
