Guitar Pro and Power Tab

Obviously these tabs are much better than text tabs. But everywhere I look you have to buy these programs. Did those of you who have them buy them? If not, where did you download it for free?

I have never used Guitar Pro and prefer not do obtain it illegally, but Power Tab works awesome.  However, since you have to pay for it Guitar Pro probably has numerous more features that make it cool.... Maybe I should do some research on it and think about buying it.

I been using Guitar Pro, but then found a problem. Is there a way to put in low piano notes? Cause it only lets me add ones playable on a guitar which sucks when you're trying to tab the blues :D

I've never registered my copy and I've been using it for about 18 months now

If you register there's a chance they're gonna notice 2 people are registered under the same serial key and shit
