Now, I might be rated newbie on this forum, but back in the beginning of 90's when I bought fcking cassette of NIN's Pretty Hate Machine (and Yeah, it was in INDUSTRIAL section, along with front242) and bought G'n'R's AfD too. You wouldn't nail me to the cross for listening to so much "diverse" music.
Now, my point is - I am NiN fan, and I am GnR fan too,they both have some great songs and some sloppy ones.
GnR have 5-10 Great songs, and NiN have not, but have larger number of good songs.
And there is so much a difference in terms of style. Now, nobody is should try to compare them.
The only reasonable point to this thread is - is it better to release average or above albums biyearly like NIN, or to wait for a fckin miracle for 14 years? This ChiDem better blow my ears off due to exepetations..
And the reason there is so much NiN fans here, is because they also love GnR.
I for one never felt the need to join NiN forum, but I did here... it should explain something.
