Well guys... I was at the concert last night and I was also at the concert in Brisbane last Wednesday. Again the infamous sounds at Vector Arena let it down with the vocals having a real muffled sound and when Axl spoke it was really hard to understand what he was saying. Admittedly I was sitting in a different position here to when I was in Brisbane but a mate of mine was sitting in almost an identical position as I was in Brisbane and he said "it sounded like I was listening to it through a couple of pipes". That said the concert was still amazing, Axl's voice is as good as ever and Sebastian Bach is the man!!! His stage presence is awesome. Setlist was as follows, although I am going from memory:-

Welcome To The Jungle
It's So Easy
Mister Brownstone
Live And Let Die
Robin Finck solo
Sweet Child Of Mine
Knockin' On Heavens Door
You Could Be Mine
Dizzy solo (couldn't pick what song this was)
The Blues
.... I think there was something else in here though, not sure ....
Better
Out Ta Get Me
November Rain
IRS
My Michelle with Sebastian Bach
Patience
Nightrain

Encore:
Madagascar
Chinese Democracy
Paradise City

So that's it..... If you didn't go, I'd still suggest going to tonights concert but the Vector Arena still has issues in my book! Go Axl!!!!!

You forgot Nice Boys, they played that as first encore. Angry was so fuckin drunk by that stage when he walked on, could barely keep his eyes open! Angry and Baz also duetted on Bad Boy For Love. Baz's set was very good, he really got the crowd pumped.

I also when to the Brisbane show (20th June) as well as the Auckland show last night, and there was a huge difference in the concerts. I was sitting for Auckland, and the sound was so much better than Brisbane where I was standing.

And, I hate to do this, but i gotta hand it to you kiwis, the crowd were fuckin amazing, waaay better than the Bris crowd. The band totally felt this too, and they looked like they were all having a blast. Axl was in a great mood; cracking jokes, talking up the crowd, and smiling all the time. His voice was perfect throughout the show, especially on Nov Rain. Robin Fink also impressed me heaps as well, in Bris his playing was VERY sloppy and his solos sounded pretty amature. Last night he was on fire, all his solos were great. BBF and Richard were very cool, Richard couldn't stop smiling at the crowd during his solo.

Everyone i talked to out and about in town afterwards said how fuckin great the show was, and how well the band played. All in all, i don't think that show could have got any better for me. It was so much better than the Brisbane show i saw.

Slash? Fuck, slash who? The band owned Auckland last night.
Just. Fucking. Release. The. Motherfucker.

Yeah... shit sorry about missing Nice Boys, should remembered that as I was so into it. I love that song!!!!!

As for the sound, I still stick with the Brisbane, although I was right next to a speaker so had first hand noise. As for the crowd, hell yeah way more into it than Brisbane, I thought I was at a sitting down contest!!!! Sebastian is the man too, My Michelle is awesome with him singing - probably my fav G'N'R song. I loved that Axl did Chinese Democracy. Is that the first time on this tour?? We musta kicked ass in Auckland!!!!!!!!

 Hey,

I've looked at this board for a good while but, haven't posted up until now......so, YO! What's up?!?

Anyway, a review like this proves that the band won't be taken seriously until CD drops and can show what they have toward building on the GN'R legacy.

Until that happens, they'll be considered a cover band ("Hired Guns") and nothing more. They are filling large shoes and have to work hard at making people forget how great a band they last saw (some 14 years or so ago) and this includes having a kick ass show Consistently, not "mixed reviews." They have to be on their "A" game  every single fuckin' night and if that means not partying as hard the night before, then fuckin so be it. Get your shit in gear and then fuckin' keep it there.

Critics will take any chance they're given to tear this band apart (no matter how great I or you believe they are) and any slip ups cuppled with blank stares as to "who are they?" because the album isn't out doesn't help matters.

Release this album and stay tight to silence these fuckers.

That being said, I'm glad this board is around and we can discuss these subjects without fear of getting censored.

        GN'R FOREVER!!
