Can they make it?

Hey guys one question that is fucking around my mind until we reach march 6...

Do you truly believe that this band can pass over the 6 year-old barrier and to achieve it? To this date right now do you think that?  I know that it all depends how well Chinese Democracy could be, or if they finally release it, and  besides, the future albums that may come.  


This is a question I ask my self everytime I watch videos of the old line-up. They did so much in 6 years. I really want this band to take off and do it.....but sometimes i have my doubt

I think once the world ( other than us hard core fans) hear the full album for the first time, they will get to see how talented the band is!  Fink,Fortus,Ron will finally get to show off their unique styles and as long as they come into the album with an open mind they will see that axl just didnt pick up a cover band

I think it'll be weird and like anything new, might take awhile to grow on some people. I think Better is a song people won't like upon first listen, but will enjoy... five minutes later it'll hook 'em and they'll want to listen to it again.

I've seen it happen to at least five random people I know.

GnR needs to re-establish themselves again, even after they just toured for a year... which helps since they received a lot of press.

They need to be on the cover of Rolling Stone, SPIN, etc, etc.

As Gn'R fans we know how great they are and what a sweet recovery they have had, but for those that don't spend time on a Gn'R forum know shit about whats going on and therefore Gn'R does need to reastablish themselves.

Anyways, I think they can do it. I dont think CD will sell ten million, but it will sell well. Its GNR, They will be embraced, but not like they used to be embraced. :nod:

I've been worried since 2001 that the music on CD isn't up to the hype as far as mainstream exposure. It'll be hard reaching the kids who buy the music in droves.
The leaks  are fantastic, and the couple of bootlegs I've heard sound great.  
I'll enjoy it , but if the disc isn't mega-huge, is Axl going to retreat again or keep working in a world that doesn't give a shit?
P.S I think the disc will out this year.
