Ron is fucking awesome.. allthough I think he still does too much that "throw your guitar in the air and beat the string with all of your fingers and sound like computer/ super mario theme on crackcocaine thing " you know it gets kinda boring  :paranoid:  :paranoid:

this is the Ron Thal appreciation thread, if you dont like him then dont post, seriously, you could throw anything at Ron and he could play it, the guy is a virtuoso, just like Buckethead, give the guy some credit.

Not only can he play guitar, but he appreciates fans, he answers tons of emails and he is a great communicator and looks great in this band.

hello, Ron. First, sorry for my english. I want to say that I FUCKING LOVE your work in GN'R. I really like your solo work - I really do and I love guitars suck/raygun - but you made some fucking nice solos to GN'R songs. Old and new. Chi Dem was a 'normal' song to me. I just liked it, not that much. but dude, after your fretless stuff added to it i fucking love it. you made chi dem go from a normal song to one of my prefered GN'R songs. Your fretless kicks every solo ever 'created' for that song, your addition to that music was perfect. your november rain solo is kick ass - you play it like no one ever did... just perfect. you usually change your nightrain solo, but your imagination is always perfect and you create really nice solos to that song. Your you could be mine solo is damn nice too, i love it, especially the end of the solo. welcome to the jungle and sweet child o' mine are played perfectly. your addition to those songs was really nice. Oh, can't remember all... rocket queen last solo is also kick ass.
oh, and if people keep 'comparing' you with Slash and buckethead, just ignore them. you have your own style, your own playing style. some people like the 'old guys' and try to make some new members look like 'bad guitar/bass/drum players' just cause they can't accept that every 'new member' is better than old ones. I know you do not like comparisons, but some people are stuck in the past. You were in the band for like 1 or 2 months and I already loved that 'new guitar player' cause he was a damn good player and had charisma. IMO you're by FAR the best guitar player that ever played in GnR. ok, i'll stop comparisons, but you need to know that lol. Sadly I could not know you before joining Gn'R. I wanted to listen your solo work before joining Gn'R but I had not the oportunity. :(

please do not change it never, and never leave Guns N' Roses too. I just can *NOT* see the band without you. Thanks by everything, every answer you write, every solo you create, everything. I'm not only a GnR fan now, I'm a bumblefoot fan too. *

I just watched his solo from New Jersey, and after actually reading Slipdisc's entire post, I do have appreciate the guy more.

I'm looking forward to see if he plays something in his solo spot like he did Don't Cry last tour.
