Rhythm Guitar , Lead Guitar , Bass : Which would you rather be in a big band ?

I was ripping the piss a wee bit. It always amuses me a little when people talk about rhythm and lead guitar because I can just imagine a guitar shop  with a section for 'rhythm guitars' and a section for 'lead guitars'. Its all keefs fault. Someone asked him about rhythm and lead and he basically told them to fuck off, there is no difference, because 'you don't go into a guitar shop and ask for a rhythm guitar do you?'. Or it might have been more like 'mmmghghm mgmgmgh mmmgh do ya?'

When I play lead I get to play the Gibsons and I make the rhythm guy play Squires.

you can make a guitar more rhythm or lead oriented by changing pick ups and strings, perhaps install a floyd rose if you wanted to. Frankly the Razorback i have does both just fine and the LP has no issue either if there is noone has seen fit to complain about it.

i play bass right now and i quite enjoy it so maybe that but if i were a better lead player i'd probably enjoy that more. Frankly rhythm never appealed to me in the music i play, i can play it if i chose to but it always seems to be the same as the bass and if i'm playing that part i'd rather just hit the bass notes perhaps that's a little lazy but i don't really care
