Strap Peg Problem
« on: August 17, 2006, 08:30:19 AM »
I have a problem.  The strap peg on my Les Paul is loose and falls out.  I tried putting some krazy glue on the threads of the screw that secures the peg, but it fell out again.  Any ideas?  The only thing I can think of is to get a larger screw, but i don't want to put any new holes (or enlarge existing ones) in such a nice instrument.

get some strong wood glue and some saw dust. mix it to make a woody paste (ok that sounds wrong) then put some masking tape over the screw hole (and again) and poke through so the whole is accessable, then fill up the whole with your woody paste (chuckle) and when its set it will be as if there was never a whole and you can drill a hole smaller than your screw and then you will easily be able to screw the screw in and make a hole the right size.
