Hi, I'm 58 years old and just last month I bought my very first Guns n Roses CD. What took me so long you ask?
Well, back in the late 80's I wasn't into the whole metal sound, some of it I liked but never got into GNR.
So just maybe 4 months ago I saw them on a TV show about the old groups and I saw Axl Rose.
He looked like a deer in the car headlights, so young and it must of been when they first started playing.
I was on google so hungry looking for info on him. Heard their songs on youtube and i was hooked!
I bought the Greatest Hits  CD but think my favorite is Estranged so have to get that CD yet.
Why now when I'm 58 does that music appeal to me? Don't know. Maybe my second wind is younger. lol.
Anyways, I thought I would tell my story and see what happens.
I found this site and looks like a good one so hope to talk to more of you later.

But I'd never heard them only knew there was this new sensational hard rock band and saw them life in Paradiso, Amsterdam in 1987. And yes, that was my lucky day! Thanks to a friend whom I love forever
Yes, I realize that more and more by the day. Those were very exiting years. I saw some more remarkable bands and performers that year. Oh, sweet memory lane......

What's the matter with you? I'm talking about my own affection and love for GN'R all those years!!! And that began in October 1987! And I bet I will still love the music in 2012!

I thought I saw a thread for questions for Axl if he ever does come back on and read here.
I do have many questions but one keeps going around in my head....does he have any of those headbands
still from the old days? I know I read people would take them when he had them cleaned I guess and
I wonder if he has any left and what was his favorite. It's a weird question I know but I need one
for my hat. Do you think he would give one up??
