Hi Monika...Welcome!  This is a great site indeed esp if your fond of GNR!  You'll met a lot of pipz and know about different cultures.  who is your friend who recommended this site?  perhaps Blue or Bumble or Prawn?

Whoever he is, kudos to him for having you here!
Have a great time!

Welcome Lupussy.  :mwa

Gunner22: I know it's off topic but I read Brandon Flowers of The Killers called his new born son Gunner! Gunner Flowers. He wanted something more tough next to the soft name "flowers" . I found it funny.  :D

Hi, I'm 58 years old and just last month I bought my very first Guns n Roses CD. What took me so long you ask?
Well, back in the late 80's I wasn't into the whole metal sound, some of it I liked but never got into GNR.
So just maybe 4 months ago I saw them on a TV show about the old groups and I saw Axl Rose.
He looked like a deer in the car headlights, so young and it must of been when they first started playing.
I was on google so hungry looking for info on him. Heard their songs on youtube and i was hooked!
I bought the Greatest Hits  CD but think my favorite is Estranged so have to get that CD yet.
Why now when I'm 58 does that music appeal to me? Don't know. Maybe my second wind is younger. lol.
Anyways, I thought I would tell my story and see what happens.
I found this site and looks like a good one so hope to talk to more of you later.

Oh well, you know what they say "never too old to learn!" Welcome to this fun addictive forum  :D

Edited: Did I really wrote this? OMG.....58? Oh man, that's old! I'm old too I was 41 when I wrote that, now I'm 42 on my way to be 43!!!  Only that fat singer with the Hulk Hogan moustache and the Village People faggot look and his mates and all other male rock heroes are allowed to be that age and far older! What did I know then what I know now......these kids also knows everything about the old days thanks to Google! I lost my illusions but my appetite for destruction is still alive: this fucking, arrogant, annoying etc. kiddos shall never ever live the real rock days. That's such a comfort to me.  :D  They have to live with the history as it has been written, we have the real memories because that was our real life! YAY!!!

I wrote a lot of bullshit reading back...... :fpalm:  :giggle:
