I bought a Boss pedal today, OS-2. I plugged in the cables and linked it to my Strat and my Marshall MG15DFX. I then tried to turn it on and i couldn't get the red light to come on. I tried replacing the battery and that didn't work, am i doing something wrong?

take it back to the store.. that will solve your problem.. the switch might be broken

make sure the cables aren'te stereo cables, they must be mono or else the cable being plugged in wont engage the battery.

The stereo cable will have 2 black lines on the connector end and the mono will only have one.
