Looking at that lineup has ruined my week...

FUCK DOWNLOAD!!! An absolute disgrace them greedy bastards....

The prodigy..korn..bull et for my anus? What the hell do they think this is?Get that shit the hell away...give us old school support bands like Dio, motorhead, WASP, slayer..

Fuck their ticket prices, fuck their product placements, fuck the name.. What the hell has 'downloading' got to do with anything? Stop trying to appeal to the ipod generation you fucking dumbasses.

Fuck it...Im sending and email to those bastards....and booking a plane ticket to fucking sweden for a real  metal festival.

Have you ever been to download? Ive been to a fair few festivals, and the atmosphere at download it without doubt the best anywhere. Last year somebody stole cans of beer from my tent..... and left more than enough cash to replace them. I can safely say at any other festival the beer would have just gone, along with my cd player etc.
Oh and the name download came because of the link to how it was organised via the net if im not mistaken.

Yeah you might not like some of those bands, but at the end of the day they are bands a hell of alot of people are going to pay to see, and download always has other awesome bands. Its still miles away, shitloads of bands havent even been announced yet. Slayer have been there the past 2 years I think, and will prob be there this year. And the other bands you say, they do try and get bands there like that, but you gotta remember, they cant force bands to play.

I went to 'download' about three years ago when Maiden played.

The crowd was great..because Metal crowds are always the best...but the people who organise it are idiots.

Some asshole came out between each band and said 'we'd like to thank our sponsers snickers, carling, livemusic, ticketmaster, gayweekley..etc'. WTF? I'm not hear to listen to propeganda.

That hasnt happened for the last 2 years. The only thing that was wrong with last year was the security guards, and they've gone with a new company for this years festival. There's no queue to get in or anything anymore :D

Gotta agree, Download is a cool festival. Im not much of a 'nu' metal fan myself, but i found the crowd there to be extremely friendly. Only been once before when Maiden played a couple of years ago, but was very impressed. Nice site too, not like that shit hole Reading!

And lets save the piss bottles just in case some cunt comes on to advertise snickers! Or if the Rasmus turn up!

i was there last year too, it's by far and away the best atmosphere of any of the festivals, gotta love the crowd

and the lineup usually ends up being awesome nearer the time anyway

providing weekend tickets don't sell out, they will put day tickets on sale nearer the time, they didn't have many left last year though, nearly sold out the whole festival with weekend tickets i think

Nodoby even knows what day any of the bands are playing yet, other than metallica and g'n'r of course.

Guns are headlining Sunday, Metallica Saturday.

Unless I am mistaken by their layout, with Metallica being below the "Saturday 10th" and Guns being below the "Sunday 11th"
