ON TOUR / Re: Sept 6 2017, El Paso, Sun Bowl Stadium

P.S. For all I care, Dizzy could also sing The Air, it would be better than most of the covers on the setlist. :ninja:

Why not? What happened to his solo album btw? Sidelined by the "reunion"?  :paranoid:

Needs more Duff

Anyway, above setlist (from setlists.fm) is probably not complete, I saw other GNR pages which do mention Duff performing "Can't put your arms.../New Rose"! (I tried & edited above.)

Quote
The band stretched out their time on stage with filler, such as an instrumental cover of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here," a not-so-good version of Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun," (in tribute to the recently departed Chris Cornell) and the coda to Derek and the Dominoes "Layla," with Slash doing his best Eric Clapton impersonation.
Fans were still chugging right along with the band during hour two, with hits like "November Rain" and "Sweet Child O' Mine" getting the biggest roars and singalongs.

As the band rounded the two-and-a-half-hour mark, Axl growled through "Night Train," sounding just as fearsome as he had 30 years ago on its debut. While he may not be able to slink around the stage like he did then, he still ran from end to end of the 100-foot wide stage and rarely sounded winded.

Nearing three-hours, the band left the stage, feigning the end of the concert before returning to perform "Don't Cry," "Patience," yet another cover of The Who's "The Seeker" and closer "Paradise City."

WHATEVER / Re: Too many covers?

There's nothing obvious with this band. A few years ago it was obvious that these guys will never reunite and look where we are now.

Well that is very true. I would hope for new songs and I'd love to be surprised by them playing one... but I don't really believe it'll happen during this tour (maybe next year?).

Hm, I put in so many options. However at this point of the tour it's obvious that they won't play any new songs, so I left that out.

Well, I don't want more UYI/AfD songs or more CD songs, I want more of everything. Except covers, no more covers. :paranoid:

My vote goes to more UYI/AFD songs, but any Gn'R songs would be better than covers, really.
