I was very impressed at the fact that Axl's voice didn't suck. He did a great job! I listen to the VMA performance now and I can't help but laugh every five seconds. He really blew everyone away and did all those really long crazy screams perfectly.
They played the same setlist as everywhere I am guessing. Which was one of the best setlists of all time, a 2 hour concert is something i've never been too. I couldn't even stand up after an hour and a half, it was just that intense the whole way through.
The only thing that kinda pissed me off is the fact that I had to wait I had to wait through three hours of crap before GNR came on the stage. We sorta had to catch a ferry from LI to make it to Hartford, and because I set it up based on the startup time of the concert, we didn't have time to get our booze and drugs on
Yes, crap. CKY sucked and Mixmaster Mike just gave me a headache. I don't know what the fuck Axl was thinking, maybe he likes rap with his sports jerseys and whatever but I fucking don't and it was alot to sit through.
I thought this concert was one of the most visually impressive I've ever seen, on par with NIN's Fragility v2.0 based on looks. I will always remember the way November Rain looked, the performance provided perfect images to the songs.
Only funny mistake I heard anyone make was axl saying "NEW YORK..I Meant CONNECTICUT!" at the end..haha. I'm from NY so I didn't care.
