Well pretty much all I can say after that I wow!

The build up was really disappointing, missed Towers of London due to huge queue and Bullet For My Valentine really were awful. About 9:30 the crowd really started to brae for Axl's blood with regular booing intermixed with cheers. However as soon as the lights went out the whole atmosphere changed with a massive sense of anticipation filling the arena. All the band members walked onto stage with Axl getting the largest cheer, 'Do You Know Where The Fuck You Are?' there as usual.

First 3 songs just fantastic with crowd just going mental, so mental in fact that Axl asked everyone to take 'half a step to a step back' because the people at the sides were getting mashed. Better got a more subdued reception but was still wildly applauded, Robin's guitar soloing was much more extensive than the demo and was truly excellent. KOHD had the first real heart attack of the evening with a drink being thrown at the stage. Having read the Newcastle review I was bricking it that'd he'd just storm off there then. A roadie came out and cleared it up with Axl performing around him, didn't even get a mention to my extreme relief.

Dizzy's solo was top notch and getting The Blues was a real highlight though I still think the Rock In Rio version was better (more loud guitar). Excellent jam between Finck & Bumblefoot and of course Swwet Child O' Mine got a massive reception, You Could Be Mine was superb to see as well. Afterwards Axl found a bra thrown at the stage commenting that he could use them as breakfast bowls (it was a solid & big bra)

During the jam before November Rain obviously some idiot decided to shout something to Axl about getting on with it. Axl nicely informed him he could go get the bus as there was probably ones still going if he didn't like it, this got a good cheer from the crowd. November rain was awesome, that guitar solo really just rocks!

At this stage we then get Izzy introduced and him and Axl hug with obvious affection for one another. We then get a massive load of songs with Izzy that were just bloody phenomenal, getting Used To Love her and Patience was something I never even dreamed would
happen. After Think About You Axl started a good rant about how this wasn' Burger King and you didn't get it how you wanted.

The encore was fantastic with the entire crowd going crazy for Paradise City.

I can't remember when but Axl also had a rant about the Swedish police. His story was that when in Sweden he'd been texting a girl there and that police can arrest people based on a good tip off. So he says she got arrested because the tip had been she was hanging
around with a rock star. Keep listening folks maybe we'll find out the full version at later gig.

So how did the band measure up? I never saw the original line up but I've now seen Velvet Revolver doing Used To Love Her and now GNR. GNR were better at it quite easily, to be quite honest they were much better than I dared hope they'd and the guys really
are as talented as the original GNR members at least. Wasn't convinced before I went but I'm now a convert, long live GNR in this incarnation (please, please, please Axl don't sack them they're too good to lose). If you haven't got irckets to this tour, lie, beg, cheat steal just go if you're a fan you really won't regret it.
