It started with an odd and mysterious melody (but also very beautiful!) and after that suddenly the first notes "hit" us (with the characteristic delay effect of the guitar sound) of Welcome to the jungle! If I could only describe you the feelings (I still have chills when I think about it!). But from the other hand I don't think that I have to, because I'm sure that you know exactly what I'm talking about! When Axl and the rest of the band appeared the crowd went crazy! Everyone was jumping, cheering and the most important smiling!!!! Who could imagine that after 13 whole years GnR would come back! And so they did! One of the most important things about this band is that they have the power to achieve the most difficult thing! And what is that? To not let you miss, with their performance, the old band members! Who could imagine that in solos like the ones in November Rain, Paradise city and many many others I wasn't going to miss Slash! I wish he was here too but......who knows maybe one day we'll have a reunion!

The night was perfect! Even the moon was celebrating (It was a whole moon) and charmed Axl (as the rest of us) who made a comment about its beauty! About bands highlights now!
The band seemed to have a great time, they jammed a lot and made jokes with each other and with us, Axl sang "Light my Fire" of Doors and later they even jammed with Pink Panther's theme with Axl whistling the tune, we had Axl playing in the piano after people's demand the Asshole song, in November Rain in the part where there is a pause and then Axl starts to play piano again and the great solo of Richard begins, a rain of fire started to fall  on stage and made the whole scene very magical and very spectacular (it's one of the things that are meant to last forever in your mind!), they played 3 new song (Better and Madagascar just kicked uss!!!), also while playing Knocking on Heavens Door, before the part "you sing one, I sing one", Axl mentioned the signs he saw "Greece loves GNR" and he said that it is something that we had to put it to a test (he is very clever and he knows how to communicate with the crowd!) and then the "we'll do it 4 times......" part began and everyone sang with him with all their power! Of course who couldn't mention the moment when Axl invited an old friend and Izzy Stradlin (with his characteristic black hat) jumped on stage to join the rest of the band in Patience (one of the highlights also), Nightrain (we were waiting this song with great anticipation to be played, everyone went crazy!!!) and Paradise City (you can imagine what happened!!!). (In this moment I'd like to tell you about the games that fortune plays! 13 years ago when GnR visited Greece, Izzy had already left the band and was replaced by Gilby Clarke! So they toured with him! But Gilby had a fracture in his wrist and for some shows (not many, five I think!) Axl asked Izzy to replace Gilby! And so he did! On of those shows was the one here in Athens! That show took place on Monday as the one in which Izzy appeared here two days ago! Who could tell right???)

At the end Axl put on his shoulders a Greek flag and he told us that he and the rest of the band, they do hope to see us again! I could continue writing on and on about this fantastic and exciting experience of GnR's show here in Greece but I guess I have to stop at some
point! The bottom line... Axl seems much more mature now, his singing skills are great, he is a great front man, the band has a very good chemistry, the guitarists are awesome,
the performance of all the musicians is excellent and the whole set is just amazing!
Hail to Mr Axl Rose, hail to the musicians he chose to join him,
HAIL TO THE NEW ENCARNATION OF CUNS N' ROSES!!!!:)

They are back and I hope they're for good! Hope to see them again in the near future!
