Then the lights went out and the opening tune started and the guys came on stage. When Axl walked on stage and started his amazing WTTJ scream but mind was blewn away for 2 songs :) I waited for this moment about 15 years and now it was happening! The fireworks were amazing especially during LALD, big rockets were launched a few times during the show high above the stage. After LALD it was time for the first new song a was curious how the people would pick it up. I was standing in front and the response was amazing on the new songs though I was the only one I could see that sang them all a long with the band.

 

Then the 'oldies' (SCOM, YCBM & KOHD) came in and the band played really the fuck out of these songs. Then Dizzy's piano part came and he really plays it very well and full of emotion. The Blues is simply one of the best new songs and Axl nailed all high notes and was amazing! The solo of Richard and Robin was a bit longs but played with a lot of emotion and I don;t give a fuck that it is a Aguilera song because these guys make it a great tune.

 

November Rain was one the highlights especially because I love the sparkle rain of the new band at the end, that intrigues me since RIR3! IRS was played very well and the AFD's (MM, Patience & Nightrain) rocked but I already had a feeling that this show would not last the promised 2,5 hours. Although I expected it because Izzy and Baz were not coming we did not get the newbies Madagscar/TWAT or CD though CD was on the setlist I heard afterwards. So PC was the only encore but a great performance again of all band members and the fireworks and scrapcannon made a spectacular and of the show!

 

This was my first GN'R concert and it was an amazing experience I will never forget and I'm happy that I can see them again in just a week in Holland. Hopefully some more new songs and a longer set but I think the band will amaze me anyway again!
