10-27-06 | Estero (FL) Review
by Emil

So... ever since I heard Guns n' Roses I have been a fan. That was six years
ago when I was 14, and since then I have wanted to see them live. The
closest I was to, was in the 2002 tour when they cancelled it. Angry as I
was, I still wanted to see them, no matter what. Well and Velvet Revolver...

The story starts in Atlanta at 1 pm. Me and my roomate decided to drive 600
miles to see this show. We got there by 10:45 pm after almost 10 hours of
driving and traffic, but when the lights went off and the guitar riff for
Welcome to the jungle reached my ears, I realized why I wanted to see Axl
and his new Guns live: cause they fucking rock.

The set went on as usual with It's so easy, Mr. Brownstone, and amazing
performance of Live and Let Die (even better than the old Guns). During
Sweet Child O' Mine I was kicked out of the concert and I was pissed. Note:
Security is very tight so you want to behave properly if you want to remain
in the show.
But I was not going to let that spoil the whole evening. Somehow I found my
way back in and ironically the song they were playing was Out ta get me....
I agree Axl, they are out ta' get me.

The performance of the new songs was really good although some crowd members
didnt really know them. November Rain was magical and Used to love her
perfectly performed.

On the way back, I wrecked my car... and had to get on a greyhound to make
it back to ATL, very GNR style... but somehow it was all worth it, cause
seeing Axl and his new Guns live was the best troublesome night of my life.
