The show was great tonight, but not as smooth as last night. There were several sound problems, including the guitars completely dropping out for a few seconds, and more problems with Axl's in-ear monitor.

The crowd got to Axl right from the beginning. Before the first verse of Jungle, the opener, a drink landed onstage and Axl raised his hand up to his chest and was a fraction of a second away from yelling, "Stop!".
He pulled through that one though. After booting a few people, a cup full of beer flew from the balcony on down to the stage. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. All the beer remained in the cup until it hit, and it was like it was moving in slow motion. Luckily, Axl was wrapping up a song and never noticed it. It seriously probably would have ended the show.

I took my camera tonight and was at the same spot at the edge of the stage that I was at last night. Ron and Robin were muggin' for the camera, and I got a few good shots of Axl too.

Scott Ian was in the house and played Youth Gone Wild with Sebastian. I think I spotted Kirk Hammet on the edge of the stage, but I'm not sure. My girlfriend overheard someone say that somebody from Korn was there (now that's a sentence that's GOTTA be true). smile

Also, I took video of part of Axl's rant and all of My Michelle (save for the first bit of the intro). I'll put 'em on YouTube tomorrow when I have more time.

Oh yeah, last thing... this is a big one. I saw a thread topic earlier today about Merrick leaving Sanctuary and Axl going with him. While Axl was talking about the guys that he was kicking out, he asked (I'm paraphrasing), "Do you guys like throwing your money away? I don't like throwing my money away". He then looked at Merrick and said, "and I know Universal hopes that they didn't just throw their money away", and they both laughed.

So, Chinese Democracy might be moving along with Universal.

G'night.
