They were pale skinned and whorish looking...but one girl did a hula hoop act to Zep's Immigrant Song and it was amazing. Then at around 10pm Sebastian Bach came on with his band and contrary to what Hollow (fitting name) said in the other review...they rocked. The drummer was amazing, the guitars were good, and Seb sounded great. The show Supergroup really made him look like a wash up but hearing him really did him justice. Bach kept swinging his mic around like he was going to lasso someone and at the end he clunked his bassist in the head which was pretty funny. They finished at 10:45 and it was a 1 hour wait for GNR to come on. Security was lousy as many fights were going on that the cops had to take care of. The crowd was cheering GUNS N ROSES and at 11:45 we were welcomed to the jungle. They band sounded great and Axl's voice was right on. The only problem was Axl's sound...the sound crew did a horrible job as Axl wasn't as loud as he should have been. Right at the start some moron threw pennies at Axl and it was handled maturely. Axl said, "You're a brave little bastard aren't you...oh well" and shook it off. My brother is a great guitar player and die hard Guns N Roses fan (slash fan to be specific) and he kept critiquing Finck and Bumblefoot...but likes Fortus (the Izzy look a like). Fortus is by far their best guitar player and should be lead instead of rhythm. Finck clearly backs off of the difficult parts toward the end of the SCOM solo and Paradise City solo. Dizzy played a great rendition of the Stone's 'Angie' on the piano. The numbnut who kept heckling Axl during the show was standing a couple of people behind me (front row) and was clearly drunk. He was a queer...he had his shirt off and was touching the guys around him and jumping up and down like a fruitcake. Anyways when Axl was signing off he said, "...and you...you're a real cunt, okay...you gotta be a little bitch at the end and show everybody what kind of pussy you are...that's okay...i know before you leave tonight somebody will beat the fuck outta ya...as for the rest of you have a good night and we hope to see you again" And yes that is classic Axl. Overall it was a great show. Robin Finck came down off stage and hopped the railing right into my arms...i was trying to tape with my phone so I was a little surprised...I was holding him up as he's doing a solo...He also tossed me some water before coming back for the encore so I gotta say i like the guy. The setlist was like the other guy said it was. I am the biggest Guns fan...the old Guns N Roses...but it was definately worth going to see as they are keeping the music alive. Axl's voice was as good as i've ever heard it. I wish they would release their album...it's turning into quite the disaster...apparently Chinese Democracy costs 12 million to produce and that was...what 10 years ago...I hope Axl knows what he's doing.
