The best song by far was Rocket Queen. Axl said that his band had talked him in to playing "Down on the Farm". a song that he hadn't sang in "15 years". I was surprised when he played "I Used to Love Her", that was great. Also, Sebastian Bach came out and helped sing My Michelle. The new songs sounded great too....especially IRS.
My only complaint was that it must have been "couples night" at the Big Sandy Arena. The entire first three rows of the floor was made up of 20 year old girls and their overprotective boyfriends. First, these girls were 5 when GNR was in their prime. Second, the first 3 rows were mostly just standing around during the concert. It was as if the guys were more concerned with protecting their "dates". This was the first heavy metal concert I've ever been to where people got upset if they were being pushed on. If I raised my hands in the air when Axl came in front of me, I had too make sure I didn't touch the dude next to me or his girl, b/c he gave me pissed off looks when I touched him or her. I was banging my head and people were looking at me like I was crazy. The crowd was lame.......I'm surprised Axl didn't say something.
Besides the lameness of the much-too-young crowd, the show was phenomenal!!!!! I was worth the 13 year wait between US tours!
