Let me start by just saying that no one gives a better performance than Guns N Fuckin Roses!

It was an extremely long day (I had to get up at 5:30), but i was never the least bit tired. Sebastian Bach got on stage around 8:15. He was absolutely killer he played all the old hits he had with Skid Row, and a lot of his newer songs too. All were good. He had an energy that could not be surpassed by a kid with ADHD on speed. He can also still hit all the notes he did 15 years ago, which is just incredible.

It took 20 minutes after Baz got off for Papa Roach to come out. I've never really been a Papa Roach fan, but he did a good job. He got the crowd all hyped up, and he had a few good songs.

It then took Axl and the gang about an hour and a half to come on stage. A lot of people were getting fed up. Some asshole behind me decided to try and start a bullshit chant (which i knew would not help the situation if Axl ever heard it). Luckily, and thankfully, it never caught on. The good old Guns, And, Roses chant also got started, which worked a bit better. A lot of rumors were flying around that Axl wasnt gonna show, or that he OD or something...and that if he did show up hed probably only play for 15 minutes. this got me a little pissed off....because people obviously don't know who Axl is anymore. He is no longer the power trippin giant he once was. He completely changed, and i wish people would follow his actions in the European tour so they would know that.
In any case, the band hit the stage around 11:30. They then played for about 2 hours. The show was incredible. Axl sounded incredible (and no, he does not lip sing, so if you have heard those rumors....completely false). It is completely true what they say-when he is on, hes the best frontman in Rock and Roll history. The guitarists were also awesome. The solos were incredible, although they didnt play the Beautiful Richard-Robin duet...that was a little disappointing, but since its all over youtube and other sites, not a big deal, cause the solos were new ones. Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal also played a new solo, which sounded much nicer, followed by his Don't Cry solo. Magical.

These were the songs they played (not in any particular order, my memory is not that good):
Welcome to the Jungle
Its so easy
Nightrain
Out ta get me (and again, he said "so you can BITE me"-nice touch for those who understand it)
Mr. Brownstone
My MIchelle (with Baz, possibly the best song of the whole show)
Sweet Child O' Mine
Live and Let Die
November Rain
Knockin on Heaven's Door
You Could Be Mine
Patience
Robin Solo
Richard solo
Ron solo (Dont Cry)
a couple band jams.
The Blues
Better
IRS
Chinese Democracy
Paradise City

The four new songs were extremely good. I was disappointed that i was the only one in my section who new the words....but it was a big deal. The crowd responded well to them, and thats more important.

This was the most phenomenol concert, and i cant imagine a bigger way for the band to open up their tour. Seriously people....go and see them. They do not disappoint at all. Dont worry about the money, dont worry about traveling for it (the people in front of me flew in from Peru), dont worry about your work/school, and dont even worry if your seats arent the best, there was not a bad spot to be seated, and they sell at the door too (if its not sold out) so you can even just show up and go! Go see them, its the best replacement for sleep I've ever had.
